2017 MetroWest Champions - Framingham Orioles

In a hard fought series, the Framingham Orioles earn the 2017 MSBL MetroWest Championship, defeating the Hudson Mets 2-0 in the best of three Championship Series.

In Game 1, the Orioles would take a quick 6-2 lead after two innings but the Mets would chip away over the next several innings and take a lead of their own, going up 8-7 heading into the final frame. That lead would not last for long as the Orioles plate two runs and regain the lead going into the bottom of the 7th. With the Mets down to their final three outs in Game 1, Zak Platts would come in and close the door on another Mets' comeback and earn the save. Chris Dion would earn the win for the Orioles as they take Game 1 by a final score of 9-8.

In a must win Game 2 for the Mets, the Orioles would once again jump out to an early lead. This time it would be a lead they'd refuse to relinquish as the Orioles' pitching staff would shut down the Mets' potent offense, not allowing a single Mets' batter to cross home plate while the offense would explode for 10 runs in the shutout win.

Congratulations to the Hudson Mets on a great season and 3rd straight Finals' appearance and to the Framingham Orioles on winning the 2017 MetroWest Championship.
